NoVig, ReBet, and the research edge across the states

By Full Spectrum Sports Intelligence ·

NoVig is live in 47 states. ReBet is a social sportsbook available in most. Utah and other no-sportsbook states are using both. Full Spectrum Sports Intelligence is the research desk that helps users without taking the other side.

ReBet available states

Free-to-play is open in all 50 states. Utah is listed as available for ReBet Cash in multiple trackers.

Similarities to the structure Utah is challenging

Like Kalshi, NoVig uses event contracts on sports outcomes. Like Kalshi, it is regulated at the federal level as a designated contract market rather than licensed as a state sportsbook. Like Kalshi, the screen looks like a sportsbook to the user: spreads, totals, player props, and game results.

ReBet is not a CFTC exchange. It is a social/sweepstakes app. The prize-redeemable currency is what creates the real-money-like experience in states that ban sportsbooks. Both platforms present sports markets in Utah and other no-sportsbook states.

Utah Attorney General Derek Brown has said publicly that sports betting marketed as a prediction market is still sports betting and is still illegal under the Utah Constitution. The state sued Kalshi in October 2026. A federal judge ruled in August that the Commodity Exchange Act does not preempt Utah's gambling ban. Kalshi appealed; the Tenth Circuit denied a stay. That appeal is pending. No equivalent state lawsuit has been filed against NoVig or ReBet as of this writing. The legal status of sports event contracts and prize-redeemable social sportsbooks in Utah remains contested while the Kalshi case proceeds.

Surrounding states and the broader map

Colorado has licensed sportsbooks. Idaho and Wyoming do not. Arizona and Nevada have taken the most active enforcement steps against prediction markets and are geofenced by NoVig. California banned dual-currency sweepstakes platforms effective January 2026. Texas, Florida, and Georgia remain no-sportsbook states where both NoVig and ReBet are available. Utah users who stay in-state are in the prediction-market or social-sportsbook lane.

How the research desk helps

Full Spectrum Sports Intelligence grades games, filters player props against recent form and lineup confirmation, and publishes signals. It does not accept a stake, offer a contract, or take the other side. Users in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Texas, Florida, California, and every other state who want the information before any ticket is placed can use the desk and its feeds.

The grades and the filtered legs are the consumer edge: which sides the public is on, which players are active, which props clear the recent-form screen. That research is available whether or not a prediction market or social sportsbook is legal in the user's state. This page is research, not legal advice. The Kalshi appeal is pending and the status of sports event contracts and prize-redeemable social apps in Utah is not settled.
