How We Grade a Card

By Full Spectrum Sports Intelligence ·

The film screen, the cold-bat screen, and the rate check. What the desk looks at before it marks a leg keep or cut.

The screens

  1. Cold-bat screen. A batter who was hitless in the last game, or who is in a series 0-for, is blocked. A pitcher whose last start was short is screened for the K line.
  2. Rate check. The leg is kept only if the player's rate beats the posted line and the hit rate is at least 64%.
  3. Film screen. The desk looks at the schematic trigger. If the film layer disagrees with the desk side, the card flips and the read says why.

The grade

A grade is a reading. It is not a wager. The desk shows the grade, the hit rate, and the reason. The user decides what to do with it.

Where it lives

The grade is on the card, in the Build a Parlay recommended list, and in the wins feed. The Ask Assistant can explain a grade. The Client Support panel can grade a slip you upload.
